Wow what a night!! Six of the 12 graduating teams from the Heaps Good Hustle Circular Economy Incubator pitched their circular economy enterprises to over 100 people who braved the cold wet weather to join us at The Joinery last night! From fighting food waste in both urban and regional settings, to repurposing fishing nets into recycled plastics, to textile shredders, to house moving services that sorts and repurposes pre-loved items, and a DIY platform to enable reuse and revitalisation rather than just disposal of materials - it was circular inspiration overload with enormous potential for circular economy impact! We were joined by a panel including Ian Overton, CEO of Green Industries SA, Judy Halliday, COO at the Office of the SA Chief Entrepreneur, and Rebecca Wessels, CEO and Founder of Ochre Dawn Creative Industries who asked some great questions and made some excellent suggestions for the pitching teams to strengthen their concepts. We also heard from seasoned circular economy entrepreneur Ryan Lokan, CEO at APR Manufacturing Group who shared some key tips for our pitching teams as well as a few for the audience on how we can think differently at home and at work about recycling systems. Spirits were high amongst the crowd, helped on by amazing event hospitality by GOGO Events Pty Ltd and delicious food by The Foodprint Experience (two fab social enterprises). Thank you to everyone who came and brought so much energy to the night! Congratulations to all the teams who pitched: ShowMe Exchange - Gabriella S. & Marcus Bal Days Like This - Clair Crowley & Craig Cotter EcoCaddy - Daniels Langeberg & Josh Salisnew On-Farm Food Waste - Sharon McGann & Liz Sanders UP by GOGO - Jo G. & Sarah Gun Cinch Textile - Laura Gransbury Cinch & UP by GOGO also launched their online crowdfunding campaigns on StartSomeGood, we will share those links shortly and would love for our network to get behind these entrepreneurs as they strive to make a difference for our precious planet and community. Please get behind all of the initiatives as they need support to take the next steps! Big thanks again to StartSomeGood and Green Industries SA for partnering with Collab4Good to deliver this exciting initiative. #circulareconomy #incubator #heapsgood #pitch #socialenterprise #impact #changemakers
